![]() Day 2: God's Word Never Changes!Because GOD NEVER CHANGES, I don't have to worry about the future!
Read or quote the memory verse. God tells us that His Word is the Bible. What is your favorite story from the Bible? Why is it your favorite? What does it teach you about God? Let's read Isaiah 40:8. The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.Discover God Bible, (NLT).
No matter what happens in the world, God's Word, the Bible, stays the same. Some people like to say that the God of the Old Testament changed in the New Testament. Let's see what you think: Read Genesis 15:6 from the Old Testament. And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith. Discover God Bible, (NLT).
Why is Abraham counted righteous? (Because of his faith.) Now let's read what it says Romans 3:28 from the New Testament. So we are made right with God through faith and not
by obeying the law.Discover God Bible, (NLT).
In the New Testament, how does God say we are made right with Him? (By faith in Him.) God did not change. The principle of Faith in Him has always been the only way to be made right. Abraham trusted God would send a Savior. You and I trust in the Savior He sent. Both are expressions of faith. God made hundreds of promises throughout the Bible, and they are as trustworthy today as they were when they were written centuries ago. His promises do not change -- ever--you can count on them!
