Day 1: How Strong Is God?

Because GOD IS ALL-POWERFUL, (The Biggest and the Strongest), He can help me with anything.

Read or quote the memory verse.

Discovering how strong God really is, is the next part of our adventure! Listen to this poem and see if you can think of anything that's stronger than God!

Stronger Than . . .

"God is stronger than the biggest giant,
He is stronger than the dinosaur!
God is stronger than the wildest tornado,
He is stronger than the armies of men!

And there is nothing in this universe,
That is stronger than the Lord.
With the power of His word,
He created the heavens and earth!

God is stronger than thunder and lightening,
He is stronger than any earthquake or flood.
God is stronger than the meanest bully,
He is stronger than any person on earth!

And though at times it may seem,
Like the enemy is winning,
Be patient and you'll see,
God always has the victory!

God is stronger than anything you can imagine,
He is stronger than your greatest fear!
God is stronger than the powers of darkness,
There is nothing -
That is stronger -
Than Him!!
No there is NOTHING -
That is stronger -
Than HIM!"

Lyrics By: Katherine Bright

Is there anything you can think of that God might not be strong enough to do?

Is there any person or power that you are afraid might be stronger than God?

Do you want to know something very encouraging? God does not require us to have great faith. We are simply to have faith in a great God! And because He knows that sometimes we forget to have faith in His Power, He puts reminders all around us!

Listen to what Jeremiah 32:17 says:

O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and the earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you.Discover God Bible, (NLT).

What did God make? (The heavens and the earth.)

What is too hard for Him? (Nothing!)

I'm going to read two verses from Genesis. See if you can figure out what two of the reminders of His Power are . . .

Read Genesis 1:3.

Then God said, "Let there be light and there was light."Discover God Bible, (NLT).

Read Genesis 1:11.

Then God said, "Let the land sprout with vegetation - all sorts of seed bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came. And this is what happened."Discover God Bible, (NLT).

What did God create? (Light and all the plants!)

How did God create everything? (He just said it and it happened!)

Now that's power! Let's say it together:

"Then God said..." (Repeat it with me.) ("Then God said")

"Let there be light and there was light."

There was what? (There was light!)

Can you imagine! All He has to do is speak the word and something is made from nothing!

Every time you see a plant or a tree, let it remind you of the power of God!

When you think about how powerful God is, how does it make you feel?

Bill Bright said, "God is capable of doing anything - as long as it does not violate His other attributes. (For example, He cannot lie, change, deny Himself or be tempted.) Otherwise, no task is too large or too difficult for Him. He never fails or gets tired."

Why does it matter?

Because God IS the Biggest and Strongest, He never loses and He is never a victim. No one can stop Him from doing what He wants. No one and no thing is strong enough to beat God!
